As a wholly-owned entity of the Australian Government, National Intermodal is at the forefront of transforming the nation’s freight landscape. We’re not just building infrastructure—we’re reshaping how goods move across Australia by shifting the freight burden from road to rail. Our mission is clear: deliver smarter, more reliable logistics solutions that reduce emissions, ease congestion, and create lasting sustainability benefits for all Australians.
But our vision goes beyond transport. We’re committed to partnering with nature-focused organisations to enhance biodiversity and create thriving green spaces around our facilities—bringing environmental value directly to the communities we serve.
The Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens love and support our beautiful Gardens. We are a non-profit organisation with almost 2,900 members.Through our programs of talks, visits and social activities, our members and visitors meet, learn, grow and enjoy the riches of this very special place. Our special-interest groups are inspired by its unique artistic and scientific opportunities.Since 1990 we have donated more than $2 million for projects in the Gardens, and members actively contribute to its horticultural, educational and research programs as volunteers.
